When you entrust your face or body to a plastic surgeon, you want to be sure that you are selecting the very best. That's why you should choose a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and a facility accredited by the AAAASF (American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities).
To maintain membership in ASAPS, a plastic surgeon must regularly participate in accredited continuing education in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. This ensures that ASAPS surgeons are up to date with the latest advances in the field... advances that can directly benefit you!
Dr. Nisbet has been a board certified physician for over 25 years. A distinction that indicates the absolute highest level of training.
You also want to ensure that a surgical facility is accredited by the AAAASF. Every AAAASF-accredited ambulatory surgery facility must meet stringent national standards for equipment, operating room safety, personnel and surgeon credentials.
Each accredited facility must be re-evaluated every year and must comply with all AAAASF accreditation standards. Upon approval, a new accreditation certificate is awarded and must be prominently displayed.
